I’m TyJuan Thirdgill a proud uncle, fiancé, community organizer, and former Delhi Township Trustee. Delhi Township has been my home for many years, and throughout my career in organizing and public service, my mission has remained constant: to serve as a voice for the unheard, to listen deeply to our community’s needs, and to fight tirelessly to improve the lives of everyone around me.

I am running to represent the 74th District as your next State Representative because I believe Michiganders deserve more from Lansing. For too long, while families have called for fair wages, they have been met with silence yet when utility giants like DTE and Consumers Energy request rate hikes, time and time again their requests are met with a "yes." I am running because our state needs leaders who don’t just study these challenges from afar, but who truly understand the challenges our community faces because they have lived them.

I have spent the last decade organizing for economic justice, supporting organized labor, and advocating for affordable housing and reproductive rights. Michigan needs a champion who will fight for thriving, safe communities places where housing is attainable, air and water are clean, utility costs are reined in, and, most importantly, where opportunity and hope are within everyone’s reach.
